I'm Finally Getting Flowers // Farewell Anna Nicole

« I’m finally getting flowers » is a video in wich a grotesque feminine creature is set. In this video, she’s preparing herself in front of a mirror for the mo- ment of her death. The title is ironic, because, she is setting her own death to get flowers and praise that she needed. I was inspired by the suicide stories in Hollywood in the 50’s 60’s, notably the one of Lupe Velez as it is written in Hollywood Babylone by Kenneth Anger. Or more recently, the history of Anna Nicole Smith, reality tv star who became the laughing stock of the 2000’s era so much that her life was becoming a real tragedy.
