It was actually a pretty hard shot to pull off because I wanted the mountain in focus as much as possible. So I was at F/16 and about 0.3 sec shutter speed at 190mm. I put the camera on a tripod and used the canon app on my phone to release the shutter from a bit away. I had spent like 3 weeks setting up the shot and hoping the owl would land. I guess a camera trap would have saved a lot of time and effort, but I spent a couple hours a day watching and finally it paid off. For equipment, I use a Canon R5 and had my 70-200 F/2.8 on.
