Drum Resounding - Massimo Magee

An abstract colour image was converted into sound, played back through an amp, re-recorded through contact microphones on a snare drum placed on top of the amp's speaker, and then re-combined with the original image. The resulting piece is an audiovisual object designed to be read by the computer as both a visual still image and as an audio file, these being two readings of the same file. NFT includes an unlockable mp3 of the audio reading of the piece.
