I created Potato Head Divorced after seeing that #mrpotatohead was trending on Twitter. After 70 years of being called Mr. Potato Head, Hasbro has ditched the Mr. to go gender neutral. In Potato Head Divorced, he is holding divorce papers. In reality if a man was getting divorced the title Mr. would not be retracted from his name. On the other hand, for a woman, she would lose the Mrs. title and likely also her last name. Moving to more gender neutral toys is a positive shift, however, the news still largely focused on male characters and the changes it poses for men.
