Self Portrait in Studio

This is a self portrait made in my studio in London. A digital photograph of myself (taken in the studio) was converted into sound and played back through a speaker into the physical space of the studio. That playback was recorded with a microphone and then converted back into this image. So it is a threefold self portrait: of my actual physical appearance, of the sonification process for image data that I identify as my own, and of the room in which I make work.
