The magnificent skyline of the mountains of the Isle of Arran are sometimes referred to as the Sleeping Warrior as their profile from the shoreline of Ayr suggests. Although only Corbetts, their profile equals, in my opinion, the much grander massifs of Northern Scotland, the Black Cuillin, the Torridonian Hills, An Teallach and others, but it is a magnificence that is only realised when you are actually on them.
This image shows the Corbetts of Caisteal Abhail and Cìr Mhòr from their higher neighbour, Goatfell.
