a collection of residual screenshots from the 2015-2016(ish) era of 8tracks / soundcloud / shazam.
in retrospect, this time period (to me) represents indepedent music discovery for the average listener. something that i found liberating at the time, which stands out even more looking back.
i feel this sense of discovery + empowerment has been built on over time, yet also lost in recent years. which impacts both fans and artists. but i also view this as an exciting opportunity that hints to the future.
i'm unsure if i would like all of these songs today, or if they even represent my taste, but they passed the screenshot test at the time — the original "like/save"
