Bill Murray mistakenly signed on to voice Garfield in the film, "Garfield, The Movie", because he thought Joel Coen of the Coen Brothers was directing it.
Turns out there is another Joel Cohen (spelled with an H), who also directs and writes films. Bill was a good sport and went along with it, even voicing Garfield in the sequel. “Garfield” was universally panned to which Bill quipped, "But, hey, there's always lasagna."
During one of the most memorable scenes in the movie “Zombieland”, Murray is accidentally shot by Columbus (Eisenberg) in the actor’s home theatre. Abigail Breslin asks Bill, “So do you have any regrets?” Bill replies, “Garfield, maybe.”
