"Little Red Cap"
Or Little Red Riding Hood
A story about trusting strangers and the dangers of the outside world.
First written and published in 1697 by French writer Charles Perrault, modified to appeal to the upper-class with the tragic ending where both grandma and the beautiful little red died.
The Brother's Grimm version in 1812 had a huntsman that sheared open the wolf's belly to find the grandma and little red alive, replaced it with stones and sewed the wolf back up which ultimately killed it when he could not walk from the weight of the stones.
Different versions of the tale date back as far as 3,000 years.
