Recently I had covid and during my quarantine I just spent all of my time watching art documentaries and learning about those that came before me. Black Mountain college was one subject I learned about that I absolutely fell in love with. An alternative arts college that closed in 1957, not too far from where I currently live, that produced many incredible artists. My favorite of the bunch being Willem De Kooning. Through absorbing so much amazing art history I've been inspired to explore other styles of expression and in turn feel much more excited and open.
