Future Cities #10: Golibar Slum Rehabilitation #1; Mumbai This photograph is from my Future Cities project about informal urban development in the world's cities. These photographs were made between 2010 and 2015. This photo may appear to be an example of urban decay, but the reality is more complicated. Informal communities are generally in a state of improvement. Residents of these communities work hard to try to improve their lives as well as their communities over time. This community in Mumbai was in the process of being demolished by the government. Like many slums in Mumbai, this one was slated for redevelopment. 4561x3598 pixels
