Anne Spalter - Space Yacht

A collaboration between Anne Spalter and Atemporal Productions. Music composed by Kristin Simpson, and performed by the 80-piece Budapest Scoring Orchestra. Space Yacht was inspired by the shift from cruise ships stuck out at sea in quarantine to a new sense of freedom as the pandemic (hopefully) winds down. From the ocean to outer space, Spalter used AI to create the underlying ship forms and merge the aesthetics of the ship forms, watery motion, and space travel. Additional video overlays serve to guide this abstract narrative of exploration and adventure. In addition to the live orchestra, digital sound design enhances the science fiction vibe.
