Today, we have good mental health care in most of the Western world. The deficits are still in the social treatment of people who suffer from mental illnesses or disorders.
While there is some basic acceptance for socially prevalent disorders such as depression, people with somewhat more complex disorders such as borderline, schizophrenia, and other personality disorders are still heavily stigmatized and marginalized.
