Laundry

The work "Laundry" is set in an old Japanese laundromat. Laundromats in Japan are located in a variety of places, from old student districts to new residential areas, and all of them are not necessarily new facilities, but rather places for community interaction, or places to pass the time until the laundry is done. I often went to these facilities when I was a student because I didn't have a laundry machine at home, and I created this piece while thinking back to how much I loved these spaces. 作品「Laundry」は日本の古いコインランドリーを舞台にした作品です。 日本のコインランドリーは、古い学生街から新興住宅地まで様々なところに立地していますが、そのどれもが必ずしも新しい施設ではなく、地域の交流の場であったり、洗濯を終えるまでの暇つぶしが用意されていたりと様々です。 私も、学生時代は自宅に洗濯機がなかったのでよく通っていましたが、とても好きな空間だったのを思い返し...View all
