Free Air

The air we passed back and forth that night is all I've left to save me from drowning. The Shallows is a series of photographs taken in Miami in September 2022. Two beautiful sisters -moving in tandem with the water - was the inspiration for this project. This was my first time shooting underwater and I instantly fell in love with the process - snorkel and all. Immersed in water while creating art felt incredible - there is a slowness and a stillness there. Taking the luxury to breathe away - every second counts.
