Once upon a time, all the sand grains that humans used to measure time were stored in a magical hourglass created by the Great Masters. The hourglasses had a powerful enchantment that ensured the grains of sand flowed until the end of human life cycles. There was also a secret fish living inside the hourglass that nobody knew about. When the hourglass was placed in the Tower of the Hourglasses, the fish was secretly placed among the sand grains. The fish began to live inside the hourglass and observe the flow of time.
