Inmaculada Soledad (“Immaculate Solitude”)

The woman is subjugated by both society and religion. In this image, I make particular allusion to the virgin, comparing her with a woman, like a statue, immobile, selfless and submissive. She cannot bend to desire, thus she must resign herself to living in immaculate solitude.
