"Sole" earlyWoRm 2021 (Collectors Choice Edition)

This is "Sole" as in solitary, being left alone. This piece is about that empty space in us or that empty chair across from us at the dinner table. It's from the point of view of a selfie, taking that snapshot as a reminder to never forget what we have lost. This portrait was done like much of my work, from a "flow state" just allowing the image to come forward from my subconscious mind. This particular image didn't really take me by surprise as I was still very much grieving the loss of a loved one. It was drawn with black ballpoint pen and rendered using pencil crayon on 11x14" paper.
