July 10, 2019, Patagonia, Arizona
One of my most signature captures in 6 years of pursing extraordinary skies, I stood breathless as this storm passed by to the south of me overlooking the town of Patagonia, Arizona. Shooting this storm at a wide 14mm, it seemed even then that it wasn't enough to capture what my eyes were seeing. Within seconds the rain finally forced me off the hill to run for cover. The symmetry of this shot, and the emotions I felt as I watched, made me feel almost carried away by the storm.
