It's amazing how easily it is to find ourselves giving in to complacency and grinding daily through an ordinary routine of work, eat, sleep. I also accepted a routine of hiding my true self before the world, and it further eroded any hopes of chasing my passion.
Eventually I found myself at a crossroads that only offered one road to healing, choosing to live as my authentic self. Through support from a few family and friends, I was able to see the world through a sort of technicolor eye. I'm trans, but I'm also a parent, a spouse, a guitar player, a public speaker, and a photographer who wants to show the world that life can be as extraordinary as the skies I pursue.

The Passionate Pursuit

This single shot of lightning briefly revealing itself then traveling back into the clouds is one of my all time favorite captures.   As the sun was setting on this stormy evening east of Tucson, I was literally breathless watching in wonder what transpired before my eyes.  The color, the wind, the sound of friends screaming in adulation for witnessing this, all of it was worth every mile driven.
