The launch of the Curve governance token left a lot of people upset. I felt that there were some shady things going on with "farmer chad" releasing the CRV token on his own, apparently without permission for the Curve Finance team. Additionally, the Curve team had over 70% of the voting power in the Curve DAO at one point which didn't feel very fair. At the time, this is why I though Swerve has chance to overtake Curve.
