Skies and Stripes

Skies and Stripes was taken at a watering hole in Welgevonden Game Reserve in South Africa, which is home to many zebras. Zebras strive there because of the very special landscape, with rolling hills and rocky surfaces. To get this shot I hid behind the watering hole for hours, actually hoping for a herd of elephants to swing by. I waited and waited and just when I was about to throw in the towel the zebras came. Three at first, another three right after. At this exact click the three of them had spotted me, resulting in two of them rapidly fleeing the scene.
