The Painted City

Journeys in India always surprise me with the diversity and unique spaces that are so authentic to the culture. This picture represents the blue houses of Jodhpur also knows as ‘blue city’. The interesting story behind painting the houses blue is the location usually has a exposure to sun and the people of this area found a solution of painting their houses blue which would result their homes to be cooler while surviving the heat. This indeed makes the entire city looks so pretty and it feels like it’s India’s very own Santorini.
