Somewhere only we know

This shot was taken in the early hours of the morning on April 20th 2021 on the beautiful island of "La Palma". Arriving early was essential in order to capture the sun rays falling on the waterfall. After a long trek in the middle of a heavy downpour the sun lit radiantly this perfect spot and we decided to capture the essence of this moment. On September 19th 2021 at exactly 14:10, one of the most active volcanoes in the Canary Islands erupted. This dramatically transformed the island and its' people forever. After 85 days of destruction, on December 25th, "Cumbre Vieja" decided it was time to rest. More than 700 houses were destroyed and 1 person was killed. "Somewhere only we know" is...View all
