Worm Brains is the first collection inspired by Mad Neuroscientist's scientific journey and discoveries studying the nematode C. elegans. As the first scientist and PhD in his family, he is passionate about empowering underrepresented communities in the sciences and expanding the knowledge of how neurons communicate with each other and develop into complex systems. He is an award-winning scientist as his work has been featured in Forbes, Cell, and eLife and he has been selected as one of the 100 inspiring Latino scientists in the U.S.

His work includes microscopy images taken by laser scanning  confocal microcopy and light microscopy, behavioral experiments measuring egg-laying behavior of the worm, and digital art of the brain of the worm.
