MokshaBuy Mandala 3

The traditional Mandala painting was used as an aid during meditation. This modern mandala uses contemporary images as a satire, speaking of what our consumerist society meditates on, today. It is based on the deity character MokshaBuy, the Consumer Goddess. The chrome arrows surrounding her represent the multiple directions her mind moves in. We consume with our senses- eyes, mouth, touch, taste and smell. Surrounding her, are her motifs of sensory objects. The one on the bottom left is particularly telling of our times- media consuming our minds! The band aid on the top represents healing. The bone at the bottom represents mortality.
