I started doing this figures in early 2020’s. At the time it doesn’t had a purpose. It wasn’t anything but sketches. A escape route, a way to feel something good.
With time, sketches became drawings. Drawings became studies. Studies happened to became paintings. And some paintings gained meaning.
The name “esthesias” is a derivative from aesthesia, which is the opposite of anesthesia.
That means in this series, the only thing I’m trying to do is what I was already doing all the time: to feel everything and paint it!
I have found a taste for testing my ability to perceive sensations and feel beauty, making my esthesias the manifestations of that capacity.
