desert minis is painting & poetry project by visual artist and writer, alex (amac) maceda. the minis are inspired by her daily life living in the high desert of joshua tree, ca and the funds of this project will be used for the self-publishing of her first book. at the end of the project, primary and secondary holders will be able to claim a signed first edition of the book. 

you can think of minis as diary entries, of sorts: “the diary of my first year in the desert.” 

less than <400 minis will be released, one for every day of her first year as a resident of the desert and a few extra surprises. 40 minis will include unlockable content, redeemable only by the first holder. the relative rarity of mini ‘of note:’s will be released throughout the project via twitter (@desertdao). minis will be dropped in batches over the course of the year. 

the desert is a magical place. there will certainly be more surprises.
