The Bufo Alvaruis, ‘Alva’, meaning of the womb, hibernates underground 9 months of year, coming out during the rainy season in order to mate and eat. The Summer months in the Sonoran Desert, the toads’ native land, becomes a place of celebration for all life. The toad teaches us the wisdom of the cycles of nature to allow us to embrace change.
