He exercised his love of the mechanical eye to take a multitude of photos of friends, family, and everyday people in candid situations. Photography was not as common of a practice in the 1940s-50s, and using a button camera, Nathan captured moments otherwise lost to time. Nathan was very proud of his photography, and before his passing, he expressed interest in having his work seen by a wider audience.
