“Shapes of me” is a mixed media project containing 30 pieces that fuse aerial photography and graphic art.
The foundation of each piece is a photo of myself mimicking a skateboarding trick on the centre circle of a basketball court. It’s a play on perspective; embellished with flourishes of shapes and iconography to create unique iterations of a single concept.
Basketball was an incredibly important part of my childhood and as an adult, my love and appreciation for skateboarding continues to grow. The shapes represent my career as a designer with some pieces featuring symbols that reveal my personal interests.
