The painting Glee is from a subset series of the Torqued Paintings called Abstract Frame (AF) that was introduced in 2014. This is because the frame has been constructed with no perpendicular sides, which along with alternating depths, creates a torqued abstract structure for paint. Glee is a classic AF work but is mini in scale. It's exaggerated depths make for extreme surface curves. Many of the mini paintings are painted with acrylic paint and coated with small glass beads that give the surface a granular yet velvety look. The Torqued Painting series began in 1998 and continues to develop over time.
