Bitwork

Echelon Three was part of a small subset of the Torqued Paintings series. The frames were constructed in a similar manner, with alternating depths, thus producing a shallow soft surface curve with the stretched canvas. There are four paintings in the set and are named because of the echelon shape as known in cycling.  The Torqued Painting series began in 1998 and continues to develop over time.
