Hugo started out photography when he was 14-years old, a bit over 4 years ago, between 7th grade and 8th grade in secondary school. Not so long ago Hugo was very bullied, and as a result, he hated himself. He had one thing he was proud of, his photography. It kept him going. That's why photography means so much to him. He doesn't know where would he be without it.

Over these years, Hugo got many friends through photography, tons of support from others and his amazing girlfriend. Without photography, he would have not got to know any of these people.

Now he's entering/has entered another chapter in his life. He's going all-in on entrepreneurship, a journey he would have never expected him to take a few years ago.

Hugo's passions atm are photography and helping others. That is why he has combined these two in his genesis collection - The Unexpected Journey.

The Unexpected Journey

We tried our best to reach the very known Schlegeis bridge in Austria before the crowds, and that’s why we woke up early. We started hiking and it turned out we had taken the long and marked as ”difficult” path to the top instead of a short one. In my opinion, the path wasn’t difficult but others thought definitely otherwise.

I was starting to doubt can we reach the place before the masses but I still tried to go as fast as possible to the destination without thinking about other compositions.

Then at some point we found this little bridge and decided to take a photo of this. We had this completely to ourselves. I took my shoes and socks off and went standing to the freezing glacier water with my tripod and camera. I was freezing but I wanted the shot anyway. I put my filter/filters on and took this photo of my girlfriend Theresa who was sitting on the bridge.

This shot came out much better than a photo I got of the Schlegeis bridge, and this was a totally unique one.
