'Lost Connections' is a collection of Portraits inspired by a conversation that I had during the Pandemic with an elderly gentlemen. 
The conversation covered loss, grief, growing old, staying grateful and loneliness. During a time where we lost physical interactions I found connections.

'LIFE' is precious... Even in people's 80s they are full of life and grateful for each day that comes. 

I would hope that in 40 years time someone would approach me to have a conversation, and it would be an honour to be the inspiration for someone's creative inspiration. 

I wanted to travel the world to find the best destinations, I wanted to photograph pretty people on beaches.. But everything that I wanted and needed was right on the doorstep of my hometown.


This collection has my heart attached at the very core, connecting with each of these individuals, having a beer or cup of tea, or just a general conversation. I found a small piece of myself in every single one of these people. 



Lost Connections - Genesis

I approached a site where builders were renovating an old church, at first I shot another builder, but pottering around in the background was this guy... RICKY! 

It's always the people that least want their photograph taken who are the most photogenic.. His initial response to me asking, in his West country accent was: 

 "Nah, I don't wanna photo cuz I ain't got a Carp" 

A what?.. I replied 

"I'm a Fisherman Ain't I"
