The Smoking Naga Sadhu

Title : The Smoking Naga Sadhu About the Piece : The 'Naga Babas' or 'Naga Sadhus' (literally meaning 'Naked Yogis') are a part of the Shaivite sadhus' sect who worship Lord Shiva. They cover their body with ash and have matted dreadlocks resembling Lord Shiva. Since Naga Baba’s are devotee of Lord Shiva, they smoke Marijuana which is an offering to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is also believed to smoke Marijuana and hence the Naga Baba’s offer Marijuana to Lord Shiva as a Prasad “ Offering” Since the Naga Baba’s remain completely naked irrespective of the weather, this helps them to keep themselves warm as well.
