This was another storm took us to the north shore of Lake Erie where we were able to photograph lightning and submit to the NWS and EC for the Lightning Mapper Validation Project, which we would shoot and document time and direction to ground truth the lightning we witnessed with what the new (at that time) GOES 16 Satellite was seeing from its Geo-Space orbit NASA Goddard Space Flight Center had one of their planes (P-3 Orion (N426NA)) in the air doing a zig zag patterns above this same storm gathering data for calibration/validation of the Satellite.
