Santa Maria Travel photography for me is a way to capture the essence of a place. It takes me a few days to get into the zone but once I'm there I can't stop. I never buy postcards, I create my own. Standing, waiting, watching to see what unfolds before me I shoot what I think sums up a place. Light by far is my most important concern and I always shoot at the best times of day. Standing here I waited for the balance between ambient and artificial light before shooting. Hours before, the composition was set up and it was then a case of waiting for that opportune moment.
