With the paintings by Tamuna Sirbiladze the interplay between figuration and abstraction has it's say, conducted with more or less control by the artist. On the often relief like tiles, hand painted by Sirbiladze, one sees the free movement of the brush pushed to the side of the non-figurative, leaving the emerging structures to coincidence and, like in a rohrschach-test, to the interpretation of the spectator. By chance the features lead to surprises, for example their openness to the third dimension.
