Hatholmen Lighthouse is found all the way south in the ocean outside Norway and a city called Mandal,
which means the valley of men.
It was build in 1867 and was manned by families until 1984, then it was automated by solar panels.
The lighthouse and the surrounding buildings are all made of wood and consist of the lighthouse, 1 1/2 story house,
outhouse, chicken coop, machine house, rope cable transport, boathouse and port pier. I also contain several
gardens for vegetables to be self-sufficient for example during the harsh winter months and the severe storms,
where no boat can provide help, deliveries etc.
The lighthouse are currently equipped with 4.ordens lenses from 1931
