The Torch

The Torch Inspired by the beautiful mid-80’s building designed by the architect of Citigroup Center in New York (the late Hugh Stubbins), I imagined a portal to the moon shaped like a torch. Currently known as the AXA Tower, the building started life as The Treasury, housing Singapore’s Ministry of Finance. In 2020, Alibaba purchased a 50% interest in the property and will locate their SE Asia headquarters. It is the tallest cylindrical building in the world. Image of the moon courtesy of NASA.
