I really love illusion. The idea that something appears "easy" to replicate. Im sure most people would look at this work and assume it just has 5 maybe 6 colors. Zoom in. It's actually an entire world. Personally I had just received an unpleasant email that pretty much ruined my mood for the rest of the day. I normally express anger with a whole bunch of squiggles since its a fluid and uncontrollable motion. I allow my pencil to guide my hand as I try to come to a decision about how i felt. As I calm down I add more details - my squiggles become smaller and more controlled. Red is a rather, alarming color. We associate it with danger, wealth, and strength.
