Pottery is the name given to the production of various items for use after the soil, or mainly clay soil, is passed through various stages. Although it is not known exactly how humanity discovered the pot, the generally accepted assumption is that the soil is found by chance, cooking in the fire and gaining hardness.
Today, pottery is made in many settlements of Anatolia. In the workshop, pottery made with traditional techniques is brought to the quarries that appear in the photo in its final stage. In this photo, the pots are prepared for use after burning in these quarries to make them more robust, to make the food taste better.
The photo was taken in Nevşehir, Turkey.
