This art shows a heart that has suffered an acute myocardial infarction in the left anterior descending branch of a coronary artery. The goldfish represents the myocardial tissue characterization, the plum tree represents the coronary arteries, and the flowing water pattern represents the valvular disease, all in various Japanese art forms. The concept of this project is to raise awareness of the pathophysiology of heart failure. A detailed explanation is provided on the web page (in Japanese).
