It was the summer of ’92. The air was slightly humid, a beautiful day outside. The day before summer vacation, excitement could be heard throughout. On this day, ten boys were travelling home on a school-bus from Nagato prefecture. Suddenly, the bus veered into on-coming traffic and crashed into a transport truck, killing everyone instantly. The strangest thing? Only seven bodies were recovered, including the bus driver. Those four boys vanished that day, without a trace. It kind of makes you wonder, what happens when we die? Do our good deeds pass onto our next lives? Is there ever an end? I guess Heaven isn’t made for angels.

Damien was a good kid. He helped everyone, but never knew how to help himself. Damien struggled with Depression after his mom died from a drug overdose, fentanyl, they said. He lost his dad at a young age, but was too young to remember him. After his mom passed, he moved in with his Uncle. A relatively well-off middle-aged man, with a successful shoe repair shop in the neighboring prefecture. Struggling with his own mental health, he thought about death a lot. But, he never thought he would meet it this soon.
