Just after sunrise, I came across this least tern chick running around by itself a little bit away from the nest. The size of the surrounding plants really gave me perspective on just how small these tiny birds are. I also loved how the least tern chicks blend right in with the sand as a form of camouflage, making them harder to find and photograph.
