Living Water

The story behind this work came together after coming across the following Bible verses: "He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of Living Water." (John 7:38) "Guard your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the Springs of Life." (Proverbs 4:23) The work consists of three different symbols: the heart, three nails and water. The heart symbolizes the human self. The three nails symbolize the body, soul and spirit. The water symbolizes life. These three all together depict the human self that needs to be crucified, in order that the whole being of man may be resurrected to eternal Life in the image of God.
