A 2004 Bordeaux blend from the Graves region made from ungrafted, pre-phylloxera vines of Petite Vidure (Cabernet Sauvignon), Petit Verdot, Malbec, Castets, Tarney and Saint-Macaire grapes trained, maintained and harvested by traditional techniques employed by the ancient Greeks and Romans. This is a very rare wine with only 550 bottles created with each plot fermenting in individual amphorea and earthenware vats. The rare few who have tasted it have described it as having aromas of cherry, smoked meat, truffles and an underlying earthiness that tastes of the Graves terroir. This wine is an anomaly and highly coveted year after year.
