A 1981 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Superiore Riserva made from a blend of local grapes Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella from the Valpolicella region of Veneto in Northern Italy. This wine is made using the Passito method where grapes are laid out to dry for an extended period of time after harvest, this method increases structure and creates a very rich, complex and concentrated wine. These wines are time consuming to create and only the best grapes are selected at harvest which lowers yields and increases their value.
