This 1796 Madeira made with 100% Boal from the Madeira region of Portugal was discovered recently during a renovation at the Liberty Hall Museum in New Jersey. It was originally imported to Philadelphia in 1796, but little is known as to how it ended up behind a sealed wall in New Jersey. This fortified wine has aged well and has aromas of violets, fudge, vanilla, straw and walnut oil. Being 1 bottle of only 3 cases recovered, this is a very rare find.
